Job description
Maran Ship Supplies Pte Ltd. is part of the Angelicoussis Group, one of the world’s leading Shipping Groups, is seeking a proactive and reliable Provisions Sourcing Specialist to manage the sourcing and procurement of dry, fresh, frozen, and chilled food products for vessels.
The role will be responsible for identifying and evaluating suppliers, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, negotiating best value, and maintaining timely delivery in line with vessel requirements. This position requires strong market knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with both suppliers and internal stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Source provisions including Dry, Fresh, Frozen, and Chilled food products, ensuring compliance with company quality and safety standards.
Communicate with suppliers to obtain information and specifications, addressing queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Review and verify supplier invoices for accuracy and compliance with agreed terms.
Source goods from local or international markets that provide the best value for the company, balancing cost efficiency with high standards of safety, quality, and reliability.
Solicit, receive, and evaluate quotations and tenders, selecting the best options in line with company policy and management guidance.
Report on procurement non-conformities and provide data to support supplier performance evaluation and process improvements.
Ensure all purchasing activities comply with EU laws, industry regulations, and company standards.
Analyze procurement activities and recommend improvements through more efficient sourcing methods, standardization, value analysis, cooperative purchasing, and securing quantity discounts.
Support continuous improvement of procurement processes to enhance overall supply chain performance.
Perform additional duties as assigned to meet evolving business needs within the Angelicoussis Group.
Job requirements
Candidate must have
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Essential)
Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in purchasing (Essential)
Prior experience in the maritime industry (Preferred)
Excellent command of the English language (verbal & written).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and procurement-related systems.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Team-oriented, with the ability to manage and adapt within diverse, multicultural environments.
Detail-oriented, analytical, and solutions-focused, with the ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure.
