Vetting Assistant (1 year contract)

Maran Tankers Management Inc., one of the world’s leading ship management companies and part of the Angelicoussis Group, is looking for a motivated Vetting Assistant for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Vetting Department;

• Assist in vetting preparation;

• Follow up on the planning of vetting inspections;

• Support and close vetting observations or deficiencies;

• Coordinate the implementation of corrective actions at ship/fleet level;

• Monitor Port State Control inspections and inspection reports;

• Provide support to vessels’ personnel with third-party inspections;

• Submission of SMS revision requests;

• Follow up on the TVEL/CoC;

• Coordinate the D&A testing;

Candidate must have:

• University degree in Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering or Maritime studies, recognized by State and National Authorities or an equivalent seagoing certificate.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Fluency in written and spoken English

• Ability to work under pressure and observe deadlines
